SUCCESS STORIES

The Gateway Foundation has been established since 2007. In this time, the charity has helped many people to build positive plans for the future and - importantly - to stick to them.

The weekly mentoring group is a fantastic example of the power of a supportive group of people. Meeting regularly (and establishing consistent communication throughout the rest of the week) encourages members to continue with their progress - whether it be in to education or employment, off drugs or recovering from alcohol addiction.

The Gateway Foundation is a small charity - but the vision is huge: to take the format across the UK - ensuring access to suport, education, training and employment for anyone who is committed to transforming their life.

Our society looks to prisons to provide rehabilitation - however, the structure of society is often stacked against someone who is trying to reform. Ex-offenders may find locating gainful employment a challenge - and early educational difficulties may render them unqualified for a profession.

The cyclical nature of drug and alcohol abuse and crime is well-documented. With no easy way out, the individiual continues to spiral their way on a path to destruction. When this is the only life you know, often it is easier to remain there. That's where the Gateway Foundation comes in to its own. It not only provides the way out, but assists and mentors the way ahead.
